Most of contractors are paid every Friday, we process your payroll as soon as we receive the timesheet information from your agency. This may mean that you will receive your pay advice and SMS on Wednesday evening and the money will be with you Friday morning.

Your agency will quote you an Assignment Rate, which can often be confusing as this is how much Liquid Friday charges the agency for the services you are delivering. There are a number of deductions that need to be made including employers national insurance (13.8%), apprenticeship levy (0.5%), our weekly margin and other related employer costs before we arrive at your rate.

These deductions can vary depending on the number of hours or days worked and therefore your gross pay rate will vary. This can be confusing so we will be able to provide a full breakdown of the calculation, please ask a member of the team or use our Take Home Pay Calculator on the website for an estimate.

All large employers must pay the UK Apprenticeship Levy – It is a compulsory tax on employers in England to help fund the development and delivery of apprenticeships, with the aim of improving the quality and quantity of those available.

You will have a statutory minimum entitlement of 28 days per year including bank and public holidays. If under the AWR regulations, we are advised by your agency of a higher entitlement, then this will be increased to match.

We have several options on how you may want your Holiday Pay to paid to you, please discuss your options with a member of the team.

It is important to take regular breaks throughout the year. However, if you have not used all of your holiday, any unused holiday will not be carried forward to a new year (don’t worry we will remind you).

If you take more than your entitlement, then it will be unpaid leave.

Yes, as an employee of Liquid Friday you will be auto-enrolled into our Group Pension with NOW Pensions.

We have several options on how you may want your Pension to be handled, please discuss your options with a member of the team.

Under the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 (AWR), agency workers are entitled to have the same basic terms and conditions of employment as if they had been employed directly by the hirer once they have completed a qualifying period of 12 calendar weeks with the same hirer, in the same role.

Yes, as an employee of Liquid Friday, you will be in scope of these regulations if you meet the qualifying criteria.

Don’t worry, our Compliance do all of the work for you. We will check how your terms and pay compare to an internal member of staff who does similar work to you with the client and we will ensure you are either equal or better off!

As a Liquid Friday employee you are covered with the following fantastic insurance package:

  • Professional indemnity: £5million
  • Employer’s liability: £10million
  • Public liability: £5million

Yes, we are proud members of the FCSA. The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA), an intrusive desktop and field review is undertaken against the FCSA code of conduct by one of the independent panel of reviewers. Our review is currently undertaken by EY. As part of this review, the results are then submitted to HMRC.

In addition we are proud Business Partners of the REC. The Recruitment & Employment Confederation undertakes a robust review of both our contractual and working practices to ensure we both comply with all relevant legislation and requirements but we importantly place you at the heart of our policies and services.
