Liquid Friday named a Solent 250 company

Liquid Friday has been named in the Solent 250 companies for 2020!

The annual listing, compiled by The Business Magazine, indexes the top independent private companies across the Solent region.

We made Top 50!

This year we are delighted to claim the 49th spot on the list, putting us in the top 20% of companies (by sales) in our region.

Top position went to TV and radio broadcast specialist Arqiva, based in Winchester.

Solent businesses going strong

The 250 highlights the contribution the Solent region brings to the UK economy, showing enormous resilience despite political and economic uncertainty, with some impressive statistics:

• The total combined turnover of businesses within the Solent 250 grew by 13.6% this year, from £15.4 billion to £17.5 billion
• Businesses in the Solent 250 employed an additional 4,800 people, increasing to the total employment of over 108,000 across the region
• Southampton led the way with 45 Solent 250 companies headquartered in the city, followed by Poole (24) and our base Portsmouth (20)
• The largest sectors were retail (55), manufacturing (46) and construction (36)
